Breastfeed socialized better

Renowned Oxford University researchers examined the health and behavior of 10.000 mums and their children for five years. This was the biggest studies on breast feeding. A great numbers of mums only bottle-feed their babies due to difficulty feeding, lack of time or other reasons. According to this study the children who were breastfed for four months or more, were far better behaved. They also socialized better. At the same time bottle fed babies behavior is comparatively  not so good. The team of UK public health expert Maria Quigley Is unsure what causes the effect. Breast milk protect children against  illness and obtain the risk of illness such as asthma and eczema.

Opinion:
In this western society where there should be two earners, it is no more than necessary for parents  to proceed quickly to bottle feeding. Fortunately, the many benefits of breastfeeding  are also emphasized in the consultation offices. Nowadays parents are allowed to take parental leave. In their work space there is opportunity created for the flasks. I personally believe that breastfeeding provides a good interaction between mother and child. I also believe that mothers have breasts to feed their children.

Drinking a lot of coffee finest for fighting breast cancer?

The Swedish researchers are now doing more studies about women and drinking a lot of coffee. They think that coffee cuts only the risk of an aggressive form of breast cancer called oestrogen-receptor negative breast cancer. Research professor Per Hall said: “the more aggressive form of cancer was reduced in those women who drank a lot of coffee and were diagnosed with this cancer”. But he is not clear about the compounds in coffee. It is also not sure how much coffee or which type of coffee helps in developing cancer. So further work will be needed to confirm the conclusion. Women, who are actually active, consume little or no alcohol and keep a good physical shape and weight after the menopause are at lower danger of breast cancer.

Opinion:
After reading the first sentences, his article seems as promoting the drinking of large quantities of coffee.  For years, people working on finding a cure for cancer. Even with the latest technology it is not possible to eradicate it. Recently there were various means and results of researchers. The past week there was another research that sees drinking green tea as the best medication to prostate cancer prevention. Fortunately, there are people who go for longer term results. There is according to researchers not yet clear whether coffee is the right medication. To drink lots of coffee might be work detrimental for our health.

Uniform Policy in the summer
Chris wearing a skirt

Impington Village College 12 year’s old student Chris Whitehead wears a skirt in protest at his school´s uniform policy. According to Chris, forcing boys to wear long trousers during the summer effects their concentration and ability to learning. He believes that this is discrimination because girl’s students are allowed to wear skirts. Teachers of the college imposed a ban on boy´s shorts in 2009, following consultation with parents and teachers. Chris also addressed 1368 students at morning assembly wearing skirts. He is also a very bright student. His mother Liz Whitehead, 50 has praised him for it. She thinks he must do what he believes.

Opinion:
A uniform is great for students of Primary and Secondary education. The introduction of school uniform started as a sort of anti-discrimination campaign. The school uniform is worn so that everyone looks the same, no distinction between students. Casual clothing is nowadays increasingly common to English schools. There are over sweatshirts, polo shirts or t-shirts allowed. After reading Chris's argument I would choose for another option. The color is of course important but why not a policy for summer and winter clothing? Can boys be allowed to walk in shorts to school for those who want it? The girls can wear both shorts and skirts.

Alert or WHO´s target to 2015?

Nowadays Measles   is the dangerous disease in young infants and pregnant women. WHO has put its target to 2015.It seems unlikely because a measles outbreak spreading across Europe, UK, Spain, Serbia, Macedonia & Turkey. During the last few months, children& young adults of UK & Wales have been most affected in the comparison of last year. Dr. Mary Ramsay, head of immunization at the HPA said that measles can spreads easily in schools and university. However, the situation in France is considerably worst. The most effective way of prevent this highly infectious viral illness is two doses of MMR vaccine. But all in all Americans are free from this dangerous disease because it was eliminated in 2002.In Europe measles can also be eliminated.

Opinion:
Before I got to face this article I thought that measles had already been banned. This infection disease causes damage to young children and pregnant women. I believed in the fact that this was a disease that you had to go through childhood. Reading that the Health Protection Agency reported a measles explosion in England and Wales means that we should be on alert. It also surprised me that in our western world this have not realized.
What is Brussel doing? There must also be global action.
