Breastfeed socialized better
Renowned Oxford University researchers examined the health and behavior of 10.000 mums and their children for five years. This was the biggest studies on breast feeding. A great numbers of mums only bottle-feed their babies due to difficulty feeding, lack of time or other reasons. According to this study the children who were breastfed for four months or more, were far better behaved. They also socialized better. At the same time bottle fed babies behavior is comparatively not so good. The team of UK public health expert Maria Quigley Is unsure what causes the effect. Breast milk protect children against illness and obtain the risk of illness such as asthma and eczema.
In this western society where there should be two earners, it is no more than necessary for parents to proceed quickly to bottle feeding. Fortunately, the many benefits of breastfeeding are also emphasized in the consultation offices. Nowadays parents are allowed to take parental leave. In their work space there is opportunity created for the flasks. I personally believe that breastfeeding provides a good interaction between mother and child. I also believe that mothers have breasts to feed their children.
I agree that breastfeed babies will be more protected against illness and socialized better than bottlefeed children. Unfortunately it is not true that breast milk protects 100% against asthma and eczema, because I have experienced that myself with one of my daughters. I am glad that I could give my both children breast milk, but I do understand the reasons of women who prefere to bottlefeed their babies. I only can say that they will miss something precious .....
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDoes this mean that most adopted children who were never breastfed are unsocial and likely to get illnesses easily? A lot of research is done on breastfeeding and it appears that breast milk contains so many vitamins that it is mostly likely not replaceable. Breastfeeding should be encouraged, not because of research conclusions, but because it provides a lot of natural healthy stuff to the babies.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBreast feeding is a subject which can differ in each continent. I have heard that the development in Africa is the opposite of the western countries. In Africa they believe feeding a child with a bottle is better for the child. The western countries did this, so that would probably be the best. I am glad the opinion of nursing a baby with a bottle has been changed in the western countries. Breast feeding though, is not as normal as I thought it was. Sometimes children do not want to be nursed by breast feeding. In a way it gets impossible and the mom is forced to feed her child with a bottle.
